Mobile Token
Mobile Token is a feature within the “BOCOM(HK) Mobile Banking” to replace physical Security Device for usage in Mobile Banking and Personal Internet Banking.
After activation of Mobile Token, only Mobile Token password is required for accessing Mobile Banking Services. Besides, you can also use the one-time Security Code generated by Mobile Token to authenticate transactions on Personal Internet Banking.

Biometric Authentication
Biometric Authentication is an portable alternative of Mobile Token password which allows you to use fingerprint authentication or Face ID to log on to Mobile Banking services or generate Security Code quicker and easier.

Notes:

  1. Use of Mobile Token and Biometric Authentication functions is governed by the Terms and Conditions for Mobile Token, Mobile Authentication and Biometric Authentication of Bank of Communications (Hong Kong) Limited.
  2. Mobile Token is available on following compatible devices: (i) iPhone 5s or more advanced model with iOS 13.0 or above; and (ii) Android phone with Android 8.0 or above AND compatible with Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) or Secure Element (SE).
  3. Mobile Banking Services and Securities Mobile Application are two separate applications. Mobile Token Password for Mobile Banking Services cannot be used in Securities Mobile Application, and vice versa. Users are required to set up Mobile Token Password for each application.
  4. Generating Security Code function is only available in Mobile Banking Services and not available in Securities Mobile Application.
  5. iOS Touch ID is available on Apple iPhone 5s or later models that support fingerprint authentication function.
  6. Android Fingerprint Authentication is available on Android phones with Android OS version 8.0 or later versions AND compatible with Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) or Secure Element (SE).
  7. iOS Face ID is available on iPhone models that support Face ID.
