Product Introduction

With the official opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Hong Kong citizens are driving more and more frequently to the north for business and travel. As the statutory requirements for motor insurance in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau are different, drivers must hold valid motor insurance in the relevant regions before they can drive on the bridge and locally. China BOCOM Insurance Co., Ltd. together with its partners in Mainland China, will arrange for you the required motor insurance in Guangdong and Hong Kong at one time, so that you can enjoy your self-driving travel in Guangdong with peace of mind, without worrying about the trouble of compensation.


Insured Vehicle Requirements

  • Motor vehicles from Hong Kong that enter Guangdong Province of the People's Republic of China via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge into must be registered in Hong Kong and obtain a valid driving license. The owner of the vehicle must be a Hong Kong resident with a valid Hong Kong Resident Identity Card and Home Return Permit.
  • The insured vehicle must be a non-commercial small passenger car (8 seats (including the driver) or less), which can only be used for private social, family or recreational purposes, or for purposes involving the business or occupation of the insured. The insured vehicle cannot be used for passenger-carrying business.
