Mobile Banking Services
1. Is it necessary to register Mobile Banking before for using Mobile Banking?
Registration is not required. For existing Internet Banking customers, search “BOCOM(HK)”at App Store or Google Play to download our Mobile App and logon to the Mobile Banking by simply entering User Name and Password of Internet Banking.
2. How to download BOCOM(HK) Mobile Application
Search “BOCOM(HK)”at App Store or Google Play to download our Mobile App. Please ensure the name of the application is "BOCOM(HK)" before installation. Moreover, never download the application from other sources.
3. How to activate Internet Banking Service?
Internet Banking account must be activated before it can be used. Please access the login page of the Internet Banking Services or launch BOCOM(HK) mobile application and then click "Activate Internet Banking" button and follow the procedures for activation. A SMS notification will be sent upon successful activation.
4. Which services are provided in Mobile Banking?
Mobile Banking provides the following services.
||Enquire account balance and transaction records for BOCOM (HK) accounts / BOCOM Account (Mainland)|
||Fund transfer to non-registered and registered BOCOM(HK), Local Bank and Overseas Bank Accounts, transfer to registered BOCOM Account (Mainland), register BOCOM(HK), Local Bank and Overseas Bank beneficiary accounts and conduct FPS addressing services|
||Investment Funds Subscription/ Switching/ Redemption/ Regular Investment Plan, Bonds Subscription and Trading, "Deposit EXTRA" Investment Deposit and Guaranteed Structured Deposit|
||Enquire time deposit details, set up Time Deposit, set up “Time Deposit – My Choice”, amend maturity instruction and perform deposit uplift|
||Perform foreign exchange transactions with 14 currencies|
||Settle the bills which are registered in Internet Banking, register and pay unregistered non-high risk merchant bills and enquire payment records|
||Enquire credit card balances, transaction records and settle credit card payment|
||Instant purchase of travel insurance|

Remark: Fund transferred to registered and non-registered other local bank accounts will be via Faster Payment System, it will be credited to recipient's account at different times that may vary due to recipient's bank. Fund transferred to credit card account will be deposited to the designated account on next business day.

Securities Trading Risk Disclosure Statement:

Precious Metals and FX Margin Trading Risk Disclosure Statement:
The risk of loss in leveraged precious metals and foreign exchange trading can be substantial. You may sustain losses in excess of your initial margin funds. Placing contingent orders, such as "stop-loss" or "stop-limit" orders, will not necessarily limit losses to the intended amounts. Market conditions may make it impossible to execute such orders. You may be called upon at short notice to deposit additional margin funds. If the required funds are not provided within the prescribed time, your position may be liquidated. You will remain liable for any resulting deficit in your account. You should therefore carefully consider whether such trading is suitable in light of your own financial position and investment objectives.
Bond Risk Disclosure Statement:
Investor bears the credit risk of the issuer and the guarantor (if any) and has no recourse to the Bank. Before entering into any transaction, you are advised to read carefully the Offering Circular, to understand the possible risks and the product features. You should also take reasonable steps to assess the risks and appropriateness of the transaction in light of your own risk, financial situation, objectives, investment tenor and circumstances. The prices of bonds and their returns may move up or down due to the market conditions. Bond investment involves risk, including the possible loss of the principal amount invested. An investment in bonds is not equivalent to a time deposit and should not be taken to replace a time deposit.
Insurance Risk Disclosure Statement:
The insurance plan is a product of the corresponding underwriting insurance company, but not the Bank. In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between the Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, the Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved directly between the corresponding underwriting insurance company and the customer.
RMB Currency Risk Disclosure Statement:
RMB is subject to exchange rate risk and is currently not freely convertible. Conversion of RMB or provision of RMB services through banks in Hong Kong is subject to relevant RMB policies, other restriction and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong. No prior notice will be given for any changes which may be made from time to time.
Foreign Exchange Risk Disclosure Statement:
Foreign currency investments are subject to exchange rate fluctuations which may involve risks. The fluctuation in the exchange rate of foreign currency may make a gain or loss in the event that customer converts the foreign currency into Hong Kong dollar or other foreign currencies.
MPF Risk Disclosure Statement:
Bank of Communications (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”) is a registered principal intermediary in providing MPF services. The relevant MPF scheme is a product of Bank of Communications Trustee Limited but not the Bank; and in respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between the Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, the Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute on the contractual terms of the product should be resolved between Bank of Communications Trustee Limited and the customer directly.

5. How to change the password of my Internet Banking account?
After login Mobile Banking successfully, you may login and change the password by accessing "My Settings" > "Change Password". The new password will be effective immediately after successful update.
6. What can I do if I forget the username of my Internet Banking account?
Please visit our branches to reset your username.
7. What can I do if I forget my password?
Please access the login page of Mobile Banking and click “Forgot Password?”. Then you can follow the instructions to reset your password.
8. Do I need to pay any additional charges for using Mobile Banking?
Our Mobile Banking Services is free of charge. However, your data transmission usage may be charged by your telecommunication service providers.

9. When I am giving an instruction, if someone calls me during the meantime, what will happen to my order?
Internet connection may be interrupted and transaction may not be completed. Please check your transaction status accordingly.

Our Mobile Banking can support most of the mobile phone using iOS/Android Operating System.

11. Can I access Mobile Banking overseas?

13. Is it safe to use Mobile Banking Services?
Yes，We take the following measures to protect your interests:
- When using Mobile Banking Services, all account and transaction information will be encrypted by TLS encryption technology;
- Our bank website has a digital certificate issued by DigiCert Corporation;
- Only those who have a unique Internet Banking user name and password may access the Mobile Banking Services;
- Mobile Banking system has an automatic log-off function. The service will automatically log-off to prevent unauthorized access to your account if your Mobile Banking remains idle for more than 20 minutes. This function is also operative even your account has incomplete transaction which has been left unattended for 20 minutes;
- Firewalls are installed in our servers to prevent unauthorized access.
14. What is Mobile Banking Lucky Draw? How can I participate?
